Beneath Crispy’s snow-white fur is a cat who still does not understand that he no longer needs to be afraid.

He was rescued from a horrific apartment where the cats lived neglected, without regular food, water, or human affection. A life like that leaves its mark, and Crispy is now very fearful and needs a great deal of time before he can allow someone close.

But there is one thing that always gives him courage: food.

A tasty bite may become the first small bridge between him and his future person. Then another will follow. After that, perhaps a look without fear, remaining in the same room, and the first cautious steps toward closeness.

Crispy is looking for a calm, predictable home without dogs or young children. He must live strictly indoors, protected from the dangers of the outside world. He needs someone who will not rush him or try to win him over by force.

His trust will not come overnight.

But for the person who shows him that his bowl will never be empty again and that hands are nothing to fear, Crispy may one day become the most beautiful proof that even after the hardest beginning, it is possible to learn to trust.
